THE END

The final round of voting ended Sunday. Thanks to all of those who nominated and voted for their favorites. The lists this year was very diverse as were the winners. Yes, the winners have been tabulated, but they will not be announced until the Budweiser Shootout.

Thanks again for making this year very successful.

Closer to the Finish Line

The final round of the 2011 FFN Awards are now up. They end Sunday, Feb. 5th @ 11:59 p.m. (est).

I was asked last year how did a category get a second time to be voted in. Well If a category was split into multiple categories during the Semi-Finals round (i.e. Best Drama, Best Love Story, etc..) then the stories with the most votes in each of those were combined to make one category. Also, if a category had a tie or was too close votes-wise, to have a clear winner (i.e. Best Ending) then it got a second voting chance.

If a category is not listed in the Final round (or in the Semi-Final round) then the winner was easily tallied or nominated w/o an opponent.

Please be sure to read ALL the rules, including the GENERAL RULES.

Congrats to all the nominees.

Corrections fixed…I hope.

Thanks to those who have mentioned the mistakes I have made on the categories. I have to code each and every thing so it gets very tedious, redundant and everything seems to be running together. I think most things are fixed now. If they aren’t please email me at awards@fanficnation.net or simply comment here – either one is fine. I prefer no Twitter comments, and if you do, just email them anyway.

Again, please read ALL the rules (GENERAL RULES and Semi-Final voting rules).

Let the Voting Begin!

The first round of voting – semi-finals round – is NOW open. Sorry for the delay in getting it posted today. The coding isn’t the easiest and it’s a bit tedious. Voting ends Saturday, January 15, 2012.

Please take a moment to read the GENERAL RULES (again, if you haven’t already done so).

Congrats to all the nominees! Happy Voting!

New Categories Added!

I am not sure why I didn’t check beforehand…well maybe because I’ve had a lot on my mind and going on right now … but there have been two new categories added to the nominations round and the awards in general.

Based on popularity of categories per site statistics, MOST POPULAR DRIVERS: CHAD KNAUS and MOST POPULAR DRIVERS: CLINT BOWYER have been added.

If you have already made your nominations, please feel free to either email me at awards@fanficnation.net or go to the nominations page and only submit either/both of those categories. Be sure to include an * or some symbol beside your name in the FFN USERNAME area.

And be sure if you haven’t done so already read the GENERAL RULES and all rules on the nominations page.

Happy Nominating!

A bit of clarification…

I forgot to mention in yesterday’s post about the new addition and combination. There were quite a few categories that got combined (or named changed) because they were basically the same thing. There were also quite a few that got scraped b/c they were redundant or I did not feel they were necessary. The new category this year – MOST SCREAMWORTHY MOMENT – seems to be confusing to those few that have nominated so far. Granted, I didn’t exactly explain what it meant, but I have since added the “definition”. What it means is – a scene that simply made you want to scream, or that you screamed – not out of pure joy but out of frustration or dislike. SO for those few that have nominated something in that category…simply email me at awards@fanficnation.net if you have an different nomination or if you want your choice scraped. Either way I need to be emailed.

Thanks for your cooperation and thanks to those who have nominated so far.

And…they are open! :-)

First, let me apologize for the delay. My personal life is very stressful, and I have a lack of sufficient Internet time throughout the week and weekend. I had ever intention of getting the link updated and the awards opened yesterday, but life took over.

So without further adieu… I present the 2011 FFN Awards … the nominations round. Please be sure to read all the rules, including the rules on the nominations page as well as the general rules.

I’m looking forward to all the nominations this year.

It’s Almost Time

The 2011 FFN Awards begin tomorrow sometime. I am going to try to get open the nominations at midnight tonight, but I am not promising. In the meantime, I’d like you all who are thinking of nominating to familiarize yourself with the General Rules (located in the header).

Also, the dates for each round are located in the sidebar. The nominations round will last nearly a month ending on December 24th at 11:59 p.m. (est). The other two rounds last only 3 weeks. All dates are subject to change.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to express those via email or by commenting below (I do believe I have left that option open).
